HAND OPERATED PUMPS
P159D DOUBLE ACTING HAND PUMP
The P159D Double Acting Hand Pump – is a manual, hydraulically operated device used to tension and or crop off strands from installed tendon support.
The pump housing consists of a double acting hydraulic cylinder that is manually operated using a handle fitted to the front of the body of the pump. Also attached to the front of the body are two 5.0m long hydraulic hoses fitted with quick release couplings. The hoses attach the pump to the StressoJack that tensions the strand or to the Cropper to crop off the protruding strand.
A 0-25t (0-250kN) gauge is fitted to the housing to indicate the load being delivered by the pump.
A four way valve controls the direction of oil flow to extend the cylinder during tensioning or cropping operations or retract the cylinder on completion of tensioning or cropping the strand.

STRESSING JACK
25T REAR GRIPPING JACK
The 25 ton Rear Gripping Jack is a 250kN capacity, double-acting, rear gripping jack, designed to pre-stress 15.2mm and 18.0mm strands. It has been designed to pre-stress single strand rock anchors in underground mines. The protruding strand needs to be a minimum of 450mm long to allow the cable to be properly tensioned by the rear gripping jack jaws. This in turn means the excess strand will need to be trimmed with a cropper.
The Jack will automatically grip and release the strand at the start and finish of the pre-stressing operation. Lock-off of the anchor wedges is achieved by blocking the free movement of the wedges during stressing.
The Mushle Air Pump or P159 Hand Pump units used to power the Jack are fitted with, 3 position, 4 way valves and are capable of delivering oil at a pressure of 50MPa.
Specifications:
Maximum Capacity: 250kN
Maximum Pressure: 600MPa
Ram Area: 4320mm²
Stroke: 125mm
Minimum Strand Projection: 450mm
Mass of Jack: 18kg
10T FRONT GRIPPING NANO JACK – G2
The new 10T Front Gripping, Nano Jack G2 has been fitted with a new modified Nano Nose Cone. The cartridge has been replaced with a set of improved wedges that fit into the front of the new nose cone.
A spring pad, spring and wedge retainer tube together hold the wedges in the front of the nose cone. All of these components are fitted sequentially into the piston from the rear end of the jack housing and locked into place with the wedge retainer tube.
The cylinder, hoses, carrying handles, safety sling and couplings are unchanged from the original 10T Front Gripping Jack.

CROPPER TECHNOLOGY
15MM - 18MM STRAND CROPPER
The 15mm – 18mm Strand Cropper is a hydraulically operated device used to cut or ‘crop’ off protruding strands from installed cable anchor support to ensure the protruding portion of the strand does not pose a safety hazard to workers in the area or those passing by.
The housing consists of a double acting hydraulic cylinder that is activated by using a pneumatic or hand operated hydraulic pump.
Attached to the housing are two 300mm hydraulic hoses fitted with quick release couplings that couple the cropper to the pneumatic or hand pump. Also attached to the cropper housing are carrying handles and a safety sling.
There is a slot through the front end of the housing to allow the protruding strand to pass through. A punch and die fitted to the cylinder piston that when the cropper cylinder is activated the punch crops the strand using a guillotine action.

Specifications:
Maximum Jacking Force: 290kN
Maximum Allowance Pressure: 60MPa
Tendon Cropping Limit:Ø 13 – 18mm
Mass of Cropper: 12kg
15MM – 18MM OPEN THROATED CROPPER
The 15mm – 18mm Strand Open Throated Cropper is a hydraulically operated device used to cut or ‘crop’ off protruding strands from installed cable anchor support to ensure the protruding portion of the strand does not pose a safety hazard to workers in the area or those passing by.
There is an open throated slot through the housing at the front end to allow the strand that is to be cropped to pass through. A punch and die fitted to the cylinder piston that when the cropper cylinder is activated the punch crops the strand using a guillotine action.
Specifications:
Maximum Jacking Force: 290kN
Maximum Allowance Pressure: 60MPa
Tendon Cropping Limit:Ø 13 – 18mm
Mass of Cropper: 12kg
PULL TEST RIGS

10 – 18T ALUMINIUM PULL TESTING RIGS
The Pull Tester – is a hydraulically operated device used to test tendon support to establish whether the prescribed load for the tendon has or has not been achieved during installation.
The frame consists of a three or four legged frame that may or may not have three more threaded, adjustable legs passing through the bottom base. These legs if present are to ensure the frame is aligned with the direction of the installed tendon.
Attached to the top of the frame is either a single or double acting (10t or 18t) hydraulic cylinder that is activated by a hand held hydraulic pump.
The tendon is attached to a clevis on a threaded draw bar that passes through the hydraulic cylinder. A wingnut is used to take up any slack between the draw bar and the tendon being pulled. When the pump is operated it causes the draw bar to retract through the hydraulic cylinder effectively pulling on and elongating the support tendon. A gauge on the pump records the load attained indicating whether or not the tendon had been installed correctly and achieved its required load.
