Pre-Stressed Cable Anchors
Cable anchors are essential underground support systems designed to provide stability to structures by transferring applied forces into competent rock.
M and J expert insight
In practice, anchors consist of a tensioned steel strand system that is installed into a pre-drilled hole, with the mechanical end engaging a stable stratum while the free length allows load transfer through pre-tentioning by using the patented AMS barrel and wedge sytem. Post grouting through filler and breather pipes will lock in the applied tension and will also add to the overall strength and preformance of the installed anchor.
